2: champagne colored Corriedale, specialty fiber angora (as in rabbit)
3: dark almost black Haunui, specialty fiber Nubora goat (a cross-breed of a Nubian goat and an angora goat)
4: caramel colored Merino, specialty fiber golden muga silk
5: light cool grey Jacob, specialty fiber fox fur (shed fur from a sanctuary)
6: reddish brown Bond, specialty fiber paco-vicuña

Two carded batts. The blend is mostly white Rambouillet. There are speckles of color courtesy sari silk and dyed silk boils. A touch of Firestar was included in the blend, but the resulting sparkle is not visible in the photo.

Two skeins of 2-ply handspun yarn using the same fiber, wheels, and ratios. The one on the left, which is a lighter brown, was spun from a woolen prep. The one on the right, which looks like it has more grey mixed in with the brown, was spun from a worsted prep.

A spinning project in progress. On the bottom left are two washed Corriedale locks. They are white, 6+ inches long, and have a lovely fine crimp. The shepherd (Marble Peaks Ranch) no longer raises sheep. The bottom right shows part of a drum-carded batt which has 80% of the Corriedale blended with 15% baby camel and 5% muga silk. The add-ins tinge the batt slightly golden. Along the top are 3 plastic storage bobbins with spun singles.

Two bobbins of brownish grey handspun yarn. The bobbin on the left is a 3D printed bobbin for a modern wheel and has 2-ply yarn spun woolen from batts. The bobbin on the right is shorter and squatter, made of wood, and goes to a 19th century spinning wheel. It is packed full of singles spun worsted style from hand combed top.

#SundaysAreForSpinning : I plied up the Columbia/Leicester Longwool blend that I’ve been working on. I spent some time flicking more grey merino locks from a neck fleece I bought last year, but that was slow going. So I carded up some CVM that I had already flicked a few months ago. #Handspinning
