Sticky situation with this Drosera Capensis 'Mini Red' on this #SundewSunday
Tiny plant committed to violence
Tiny green plant that eats arthropods
Is it too late or too early for #SundewSunday ?
This #sundewsunday we look at how resilient sundews are. Even when the mother plant dies back to the roots, it still finds enough energy to push forward new life. Because life finds a way, they will often create a mound of sundews in the wild continually growing over each other.
The Drosera Regia ("King Sundew") caught a wasp for a #SundewSunday snack.

Thanks, the Sundew Grove is so different that it really captured my imagination. I don't know if you remember but 2020-22 I regularly did #SundewSunday shots and shared others who joined. Was a lot of fun

A bright blue damselfly (bluet) is hanging down in a bog of red sphagnum moss with its tail and wings stuck to the tentacles of multiple carnivorous sundew plants (Drosera rotundifolia)
I call this "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" because this damselfly (bluet) is stuck to no fewer than three and possibly four Round-leaved sundews. I did feel bad for its fate!

Still very small at about a half-inch in diameter, this Drosera rotundifolia is waking up from dormancy to celebrate #SundewSunday 🙂
A baby Drosera binata with some leaves being short and round. It is in a two inch square plastic nursery pot.
A neat observation for #SundewSunday is how similar they look as babies. You can see that in this baby Drosera binata, where some of the leaves resemble Drosera rotundifolia.
