After the events of the TV movie Equestria girls 4 : Legends of Everfree, Filthy Rich has had his plan neutralized by Twilight, Sunset Shimmer and her friends to turn Everfree camp into a spa. Furious at losing all that possible profit, he intends to get revenge. One day, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity and Sunset Shimmer are hanging out with their friend Starlight Glimmer in the city. While they are having fun, a group of men follow them out of sight. The girls are driving through part of the city to get home faster when suddenly a group of men surprise them and detain them. They use chloroform to knock them out and take them in a van to a secure warehouse owned by Filthy Rich. When they wake up, they have been securely tied to chairs in a dark area, their arms are tied behind their backs and held by ropes above and below their breasts, one of which is above their chest. Their legs are tied above and below their knees, shins, ankles and above their feet, preventing them from moving, and there are ropes around their crotches to make them suffer. The girls' mouths are gagged with white cloth and they can only try to struggle against their bonds. Filthy Rich emerges from the shadows of the warehouse to speak, "Looks like I missed a few and got a new one instead. Oh well, that will do for now.
