With the amount of money it takes to fire a coach, hire a new one, buy a new roster, etc. it probably makes more monetary sense to just hold onto your coach through their contract and try and invest in them and hope it works?
my #taek is that no it wasn't and the ending was darius realizing that yeah his friends (and by extension new family) are going to be leaving him and as sad as that is he's happy for his friends and thinks it's all gonna work out ok
