At the center of the image, a small dim star still hasn't gone nova.

#TCrB still hadn't become a nova as of last night...

A dark sky with some thin clouds. Two separate stars (the brightest ones in the view) are labelled with their names. The image was created/edited on my cellphone.

#astronomy #TCrB With just my cellphone a few minutes ago, here's Polaris and Kolchab with some mild cloudiness. Heavily edited to make it more clear. (I'm practicing for when T Corona Borealis goes boom - it will be about as bright at these two stars. Right now it's invisible to my cameras.)

On 2024-06-20 and on 2025-07-18 the T CrB spectra were obtained at the Liverpool Telescope: exposures of 100 sec. The H-alpha line increased in flux.

Against the dark background of space, a few stars are sparesly sprinkled pretty much at random. Near the center of the image is a dim (9th magnitude) star which the world has been waiting to see it bloom into a nova hundreds of times brighter than it is now. It has been predicted to go nova "any time now" since a year ago spring.

The whole image occupies a portion of the sky about the size of your thumbnail held out at arms length.

#TCrB is still not boiling as of two days ago #WatchedPotStar

Weather hasn't allowed me to see it since then.

A night-time image of a tiny part of the night sky showing the constellation known as Corona Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere. One corner of the pictures includes a set of leaves from a nearby tree.

Finally a clear evening. It hasn't exploded yet! #astronomy #TCrB

In a greyish-black astrophotographers image taken by a "smart" telescope, the "Blaze Star" (T CrB) is at the center of a sprinkling fo faint stars. It is not yet in the nova phase, still at about 9th magnitude. If/when it actually does go nova, it should brighten to somewhere between 2nd and 3rd magnitude. It should become the second brightest star in the constellation for a short while.

The Watched Pot Star, T Corona Borealis, is still simmering at about 9th magnitude. #Seestar S50 🔭 #TCrB

T Coronae Borealis still seems to behave.(Or misbehave depending how you view it). No obvious sign of a Nova as of an hour ago.

Some caution here with T CrB. We might have a nova or it could be bad data. I’m looking for more data for confirmation. #BlazeStar #Astronomy #Astrophotography #Science #DeepSkyPhotography #TCrB
