1) No other film came close to my top TIFF spot like Park Chan-wook’s ‘No Other Choice’ did. I’ve been a fan of the director for many years, and would say that this is one of his best films by far.

TIFF 2025: Frankenstein - Loose Lips ‘Frankenstein’ has inspired countless storytellers and filmmakers, possibly none more than director Guillermo del Toro.

It’s not the best film by GDT, nor is it the best adaptation of ‘Frankenstein’. But, I’m grateful that these two could finally come together.

5 ) ‘The Sun Rises on Us All’ is an absorbing drama about a relationship after love. It’s anchored by raw performances, and is hauntingly beautiful. But, it’s not one I would likely revisit.
