Emi pauses, thinking if she should continue with her "plan", although she's already way to deep to pull back now. "You've been acting strange lately, much more distant than usual. Is something wrong? Did I said something...horrible?" That last part was hard to get out. Emi stared at her coworker sitting on the edge of the bunk bed they shared, his elbows resting in his legs and his hands covering completely his face, as if he was sobbing but no sound could be heard. "Listen I...You know...I've- I've been a horrible person with you. There's no denying that. Insults, punches, awful "jokes" made at your expense, you name it. If I'm honest I didn't realize I was being so disgusting towards you- No. You know what? I knew it, I knew what I said and did was awful. I'm a horrible and disgusting coworker, I'm always like this." As she started to recall everything she had done to him and how he always fought back made her feel even worse as she continued. "I came here to ask for forgiveness, although I don't think is fair for me to ask that, right? I don't deserve it. You don't have to accept it. Just know that I won't do or say that stuff ever again. It's a promise. You can keep your distance, I can even sleep at the couch in the break room if you don't want me near you. It's just that... seeing you like this..." She stopped, and rised both her arms that had been crossed this whole time and pointed them to Kel's general direction. "Your reaction. That made me realize that I've been awful with you, and you haven't done anything to me-" "Just...shut up, please." Kel interrupted Emi, leaning even more downwards than he already was, closing his hands into fists still covering his face, now completely obscured by his long black hair. "I don't care." "Well..." He whispered as a small sob left his chest and he slowly started to raise his gaze at Emi "I did care at the start, but now? I just can't care anymore, we're trapped together in this after all. Maybe I did something to annoy you, who knows! But I'm not feeling like this because of your stupid words." Kel had completely turned to stare at Emi at that point with a small bittersweet smile, his tired eyes stared at his coworker, trying to hold back from breaking down in front of her. "I'm just tired. I hate being here. I feel on edge all the time, like something's about to happen all the time. The smell of this place is killing me, it stinks like death, something is rotting on the walls, I just know it. The heaters do nothing, this place feels like a fucking feezer..." While Kel spoke, Emi just stared at him with a mix of concern and fear as Kel's emotions started to leak through his complains; his voice staring to break, his movements becoming more exaggerated and his body gaining a slight shake. He pulled his sight once more to the floor, his hair again covering his face, and as he placed his hands on his head, Kel continued; "...And on top of EVERYTHING, even with you here I feel alone, like of course we share the entire base and all, we are together in this, we do most things together...but I guess it's just like out there-" Kel stopped himself abruptly, as his emotions finally broke through, tears were starting to form at the edge of his eyes. "Fuck." He muttered as he tried to calm himself down. "Sorry, sorry, God I'm sorry. Just-" He paused. "I know it's weird what I'm about to ask you but... Can you just... give me a hug?
