Every time I teach #CausalInference, a few people have their world blown up.

They'll learn about #Table2Fallacy, or #SelectionBias, or the problems with change scores and it'll 'break' their research.

It's a tough moment. But at least I can say 'I've been there'. As we all have, and all will be.

I spent ages 'perfecting' the research for my PhD.

After submission, I discovered causal inference and the #Table2Fallacy, and realised half of it was wrong.

That hurt. But a PhD is only the beginning of a scientist's learning. If you don't look back with a little cringe, you haven't grown!
