Fic summary: Guy shuffled closer to the center of the bed, until he was towering over Jasper’s sleeping form. He allowed himself one more second of wishing things could be different. Then he placed the tip of the stake over Jasper’s heart, grabbed the weapon firmly in both hands and pushed down with all the strength he had in him. In which the Talamasca fails to properly brief Guy on what does and doesn’t kill Ricean vampires, which leads to a rather rude awakening for both him and Jasper.
