Taron's best friend from childhood was Dante but when he enlisted Taron stopped hearing from him. He was presumed dead and Taron carried a lot of guilt for never telling him he loved him. Recent events have made Dante return to his life, but he is a shell of his former self.

Yes, Taron gets really bad nightmares sometimes. When these happen he usually sits outside to get fresh air and calm himself down. Having someone to hold him and soothe him through it also helps but is not a common occurrence.
