I found a place downtown that's open during the day and serves Turkish coffee, so I went there on my lunch hour.

The handle is at the 10 o'clock position. Looking straight down, there is a large, thick C-shaped curve of very clumped grounds. it almost looks like a swimming fish. If you look at the space between it and the rim at the 12:00 position, it looks like you're looking at a pond or harbor reflecting the sky so the water looks very light. On the "close" end of the body of water, there are some blotches that look ind of like reeds and other aquatic plants sticking up from the shallows. Along the "horizon", it kind of looks like a city in teh distance. If we look straight down at the bottom of the cup, it looks like we're standing in the middle of an old city at twilight. there is a large building in silhouette - looking kind of block-like, with a squared tower. In the "distance", as we get closer to the horizon of coffee grounds, the color deepens, and it looks like there is a shiny dome and some spires. The other sections of the cup appear to have a lot of squiggly bits that can more easily be seen if we rotate the cup.

Moving right, we now see what kind of looks like a "grey" alien with the bulbous head and large eyes facing left and raising its arm to flip off someone. A squiggly line below it cuts through the smear of coffee grounds, looking like... maybe Howard the Duck reaching up to hold the end of the hatchet? To the right we then see a figure of a woman in a dark colored 19th century dress, holding open a book and looking to the left (her right). To the right of that is another figure that kind of looks like another woman wearing a dark colored sleeveless gown and a necklace, with her backlit hair worn down. We're now back at the view from the last side, so the woman also looks like the backlit duck from the previous picture.
