Subbing in middle school. 7th grade English teacher was doing a review on a poetry unit. The test was on literary devices.
She printed out a dozen song lyrics. Kids had to read the lyric and identify those parts in the lyric. Had Taylor Swift, the Beatles, etc. A lot of fun. #TeacherTales
I’m subbing in kindergarten. A kid comes up to me and starts to tell me that someone did something. I stop him and ask if this is an emergency or a tattle.
