A statement about Bradley's ADHD comments, from Being Big Brother creator Mike Lee. "'ADD' has been called 'ADHD' since 1987. Bradley is mixing up his diagnoses. We now refer to 'Hyperactive-Impulsive', 'Inattentive' and 'Combined' types of ADHD. ADHD medication does not change people's personalities. A too-high dose can cause a dazed appearance in children, but this should easily be corrected during the titration process. I admire Bradley's ambition to fly the flag for neurodiverse people. But accuracy is paramount when a 'platformed' person discusses a stigmatised and poorly-understood condition like ADHD."

Correction: My previous version of this post incorrectly referred to "Hyperactive-Impulsive" #ADHD as "Hyperactive-Compulsive".

Which... sort of undermines my point about accuracy. 🤦‍♂️ But I'm owning up to it and reposting anyway.
