Nearly there! Stowage is all done, as are the two crew I needed for the OP. I got the filter on as the last task so I can gloss up for pin washing in the morning.

I got my friend @britishbersagliere.bsky.social into #coldwargonehot wargaming purely based on helicopter based warfare in #TeamYankeeWW3. It has air assault missions and helicopter based infantry can be used in all games. Plus Attack Helicopters.
7DTRR and Northag both have attack helicopters too

A couple hours of #WIP this afternoon whilst the kids tidy their rooms (narrator - they did not tidy their rooms...); modulation all done. Again, Sand Ivory followed by Aged White (Vallejo Model Air) on the #teamyankeeww3 #Humvee Now to start the detailing.

The M998 Humvee, kit bashed from a Battlefront 1:100 HMMWV kit, with one Stinger coffin opened, gunner ready to shoot.
The trapeze structure and one of two Coffins. This is all scratch built from Styrene rod.
The remaining three launchers aren't too far behind.
Pulled out the stops to get one M998 #Humvee Stinger carrier (did you guess right) done. The other three aren't too far behind. This variant just mounted a trapeze shaped structure on the flat bed that carried two Stinger "coffins", plus gave a cargo area on the top.

Once the hard top and back door was off, I added a support bar (which really needed to be thicker in diameter) and the back canvas wall. The 'canvas' appears to be quite thick and creaseless, so used plasticard to make life easier.
Green stuff soft top on.
Continuing on with the support Humvee. The front cab is all but done. The soft top needs some tidying up once the GS is set. Once that is done ai can start work on the flat bed.

In addition to others, Seven Days to the River Rhine (7DTRR is worth a look.
My group seems to have settled of #TeamYankeeWW3 as it works suitably well for casual gaming. I want to give #Northag and #7DTRR another go to see if there is something more to dig the teeth into beyond causal gaming.

Two USMC Rifle platoons and a Ha stand in Choc Chip camo, plus a LAV platoon, M109 battery and an understrength M60 company.

Likely the last #WIP till after boxing day, the #TeamYankeeWW3 M60 are all stowed up now.
Since these photos, the filter and gloss varnish have been applied ahead of a pin wash. That may happen tomorrow but... lots to do.

More #WIP as the stowing up is all finished. Decided to celebrate by taking a little stereo for the CO tank.

Rear stowage on M60A1 RISE W/ERA. The Sinocast turret suffers from some breakdown in detail on the lower edges but thankfully historical photos show plenty of stowage in these areas. Would that degrade the ERA effectiveness? Maybe. But Tank crews historically seem to have a habit of prioritising crew comforts over safety...
The first five tanks stowed up. Hopefully get the next five done tomorrow.

As noted on the last post, it's back to 15mm #wip #TeamYankeeWW3 with the #USMC M60A1 RISE W/ERA. The BF model missed the two hull clusters so modelled them on with Plasticard. Then it was back to stowing up the tanks which helps hide some of the sinocast flaws!

Gulf War era M109 and LAV25 platoons for #TeamYankeeWW3 all done! Some improvements to the initial sand tones learned to apply to the M60 but the filter helped smooth the modulation and the stowage has come up nice.

Bit more #WIP on the #USMC support vehicles for #TeamYankeeWW3. Added chevron markings (mux of decal and hand painting), started adding colour to the stowage and some brush applied two stage chipping to give a subtler, less worn look than my normal sponge chipping.
