#Team_Taiwan catcher Chia-Chen "Lyle" Lin has signed a minor league contract with the not-Oakland #Athletics. The deal also includes an invitation to major league spring training.

#World_Baseball_Classics President #Jim_Small is in Taiwan promoting February's #WBC_Qualifier in the #Taipei_Dome. He stated that it was unlikely for a MLB regular season opener to be held in Taiwan in the next few years.
He is also scheduled to meet with #CPBL and #CTBA to shut down #Team_Taiwan.
#Jim_Small, President of #World_Baseball_Classics, is scheduled to visit Taiwan this weekend for a few meetings with officials of #CPBL and #CTBA, particularly on their liberal use of the phrase #Team_Taiwan.

#Chinese_Taipei, affectionately known as #Team_Taiwan, will be traveling on #China_Airlines's flight CI-105, departing Tokyo Narita on 11/25 at 5:45pm and arriving at Taipei Taoyuan International at 8:55pm.
They will meet with Taiwan's President at a later time, and a victory parade is in the works.
After defeating #Australia 11:3, along with #Japan edging out #Cuba 7:6, #Chinese_Taipei, locally know as #Team_Taiwan, a team comprised mainly of #CPBL players, has advanced to the final four of the 2024 Premier 12 tournament.
