STEC is currently accepting proposals for wholesale electric power generation. Established in 1944, STEC provides power to nine Texas electric distribution cooperatives, ultimately serving over 340,000 members across 47 South Texas counties. The organization is seeking a diverse range of generation types, indicating a flexible approach to sourcing power. Prospective developers should note that generation projects must be located within a region capable of reliably delivering electricity to STEC's member cooperatives.
