On and off, the group in the photo has been playing #TTRPGs since 1985 or so (pictured in ~1985; I'm the one picking my lip).
With these guys, I invented Stephen Alzis, Belial and the The Fate, and today, every week, we playtest #TheBlackCompanyRPG.
You have to find your people.
For this new painting, I’m LITERALLY squidging the paint with a tiny palette knife to make the background look more dusty and smoky (I’m doing it based in a non-visible grid, hence the sharp angles which soon, won’t be visible). It’s a BIG image and quite fun to paint. #Art #TheBlackCompanyRPG
I painted from 5 am to 3:30 pm or so and I’m nowhere near finished.

Changes — more depth to the explosion debris. Cape finished. Started the mud field (the pile in the back is near final). Colour basics on the muddy boots.

Changes — fixed Soulcatcher's right hand (finally). Finished her dagger. More debris (first pass, above and to the left of her). Slid the last silhouette down.
More work on the SORCERY #painting for #TheBlackCompanyRPG . The reference image is an incredible pic of a Russian bomb disposal in Afghanistan.
I'm adding in some large rocks to give an idea of direction and speed.
