When visiting the distillery shortly after it opened, I was under the impression that this range was only going to be available at the visitor centre itself. So, maybe it was originally produced with a certain customer in mind? #TheCairnDistillery

Thank you to #TheCairnDistillery and, of course, @thewhiskywire.bsky.social, for a wonderful evening full of flavours. My dram of the night was CRN57° 12 Years Old, purely because I found it less dry on the palate, but in terms of lingering flavour the CRN57° 30 Years Old was amazing.

A really great tasting @thewhiskywire.bsky.social 🙏 a very strong lineup that bodes well for #TheCairnDistillery if this is what they’re aiming for. The nose of the 30yo wins the night for me, but the palate of the 25yo was equally memorable.

The 12 y/o and 18 y/o are great value for money. The 30 y/o, although still very good, lacked a certain something for me. The 25 y/o is a belter of a dram #TheCairnDistillery

Palate: dark fruits, blackberry/plum, spiced wood, ginger heat, uncle joes mintballs, blackcurrant and liquorice sweets, red liquorice

The palate of the 30YO is delicate. There is a honey sweetness, delicate floral notes, lemon zest and gentle ginger spice. #TheCairnDistillery

Finish: Mild astringency, dried fruit, liquorice and oak spice

Palate: herbal notes mingle with roasted coffee beans, ginger snaps, Granny Smith apples and some dark chocolate. Much more woody finish than the previous drams.

With water, there's milk chocolate salted caramels, lime Starbursts, Key lime pie, wine gums, milk chocolate ginger, rose & violet creams, croquembouche, spun sugar, Curly Wurly, dill, and a ginger milkshake, mint hot chocolate & crème caramel finish #TheCairnDistillery
