A surviving wall of the Clink Prison in Southwark, which was burned down by Gordon rioters in 1780. The original prison had been in since the , with several high profile religious prisoners there in the 16thC. There is now a museum on the site #clinkprison #theclink

I’m trying to visit all the more obscure London museums (let me know if you can think of any I’ve missed!). I finally made it to the Clink Prison Museum, on site of Clink Prison Southwark (in use 13thC-1780). Creepy, but gives reasonable sense of how horrific imprisonment was #clinkprison #theclink
