NGC 6992 - The Eastern Veil Nebula - unprocessed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter and LP Filter. The star that created the Eastern Veil exploded 10,000-20,000 years ago. The supernova was so bright it would have been visible during the daytime on Earth.

NGC 6995 The Bat Nebula (The Eastern Veil Nebula) - unprocessed image with Moon and Sky Light Filter. This supernova remnant is expanding at a breakneck speed of about 1.5 million km/h (almost a million mph). It's fast enough to visibly expand over a human lifetime.

I did something last night. Set the s50 to do mosaics of #Caldwell33 #TheEasternVeilNebula , #SH2-103 #CygnusLoop and #NGC6960 #TheWesternVeilNebula. Each mosaic was for 2:20 in duration. Using Affinity Photo on my iPad I made the following. #seestar #S50 #space #astronomy #amateur
