Why would you have a recycling challenge on a knitting show where you cut garments up and sew them together rather than just unravelling them and reusing the yarn? Also, why am I still watching #TheGameOfWool?
I wanted to like #TheGameofWool, because it's close to my craft, I really really did, but I just can't. The standards seem odd, the judges too generic, the occasional addition of crocheting doesn't make sense for how they market this, and it's just... no, sadly, no.
"One good shake and the headpiece goes" - yes, the same way we saw happen with the previous three contestants, why is that suddenly a problem if it wasn't before? #TheGameofWool
"Knitting builds a garment row by row, while crocheting does it one stitch at a time", as if knitting the row isn't one stitch at a time either, just in a different way. Pfff. #TheGameofWool
Well there is quite buzz around Ailsa’s jumper on #TheGameOfWool yesterday! Ailsa got the pattern and yarn from us! For your kit including pattern and our very own Shropshire Ply DK (Ailsa’s is knitted in Sorrel) head over to eweandply.co.uk/products/up-... #VintageKnits #AilsasJumper #UpToYourNeck
Instead of watching the fumble that's #TheGameOfWool, you should watch the 26 episodes of the delightful and quirky Great Danish Knit Off on YouTube (English subtitles!)
