A garden with some green grass, and a metal rail running approx 12 inches from the ground. Over the rail is balanced an old piece of hardboard which become bent into a U shape through being constantly damp, making a rudimentary tunnel for the cats to play under and on top of. Hiding under the hardboard is a small black and white cat, waiting to pounce on a playmate.

Raven, a fluffy one-year-old black feral cat, lies in the garden on an upturned wooden fruit box which has a hardboard base (now the top) which has sagged in the damp, and is supporting Raven's rear end nicely. Behind them are yucca plants, long grasses, some upturned plastic barrels, and the stump of a fruit tree.
The cats like to lie on the upturned greengrocer's boxes as it kept them dry from the heavy dew on the grass in the early morning. Crates with hardboard bases sagged in the damp and were the cats' favourites - like a comfy old sofa with sagging springs ๐พ
