A kitten was left on the back porch a few days ago. We brought it inside, cleaned its eyes, provided food & water (which it refused) until we could figure out who it belonged to. After several wrong guesses, its mom was located. She promptly gave it a bath.

There are two large red plastic barrelsm upturned, in a garden under the citrus trees and vines. Surrounding them are long grass, palms, and a pile of tree prunings. On top of one of the barrels sits a black cat, shoulders hunched, tail fluffed, wailing in a threatening manner. On another lower barrel sits a peach-and-white cat, drawn up to his full height, singing the song of his discontentment, mouth open and head back.
And once again, the focus was on the red barrels where Pascha and Muffin were singing songs born of youthful hormones and not-so-veiled threats 🐾
