TBF, spring-fall 1864 was not so good militarily or politically for #TheGreatCaptain. #Copperheads were rising again as the "left flank" turns in VA led only to Petersburg.
Abe did what he thought he had to do. If not for #SecceshTerrorism, our history may have been far different.
