I think I'm going to show #TheHouseILiveIn in French colonialism class. It's US of course - but we're looking at the invention of "race" in the 18th C - and this shows the perniciousness & persistence of it in the postwar US. It will be good to see what the students think of it too!

This movie is one of the reasons my high school bestie's working class, Korean war vet, Jewish dad had a portrait of Frank Sinatra in his living room.
The four-part Netflix biopic helped me understand what Sinatra meant to those men, especially this work.
