I had fun today. Strumbold & I calmly watched people leaving & entering the BBC - had some delightful conversations with a few & dropped off a couple of copies of #TheMayorsBear - in my earnest hope Mayor Roxie's story will one day become a radio play for all to enjoy

People ask me what #TheMayorsBear is about and my answer is - many things! At various levels it is about - a town mayor who loses her chain of office and a magimistical bear who helps her find it again - a story about the importance of local government and helping build communities that are safe, fun and supportive - the power of coaching through careful and gentle questioning - the delight of conversations with strangers - magic and fairies - knowing that you don't have to be beautiful in order to be chosen and loved (quote a 10 year old student who had listened to that chapter) - and whatever else you find when you read the book... https://themayorsbear.blogspot.com/
