The Scour is a welcome dip into Vonvalt’s past and the world of Empire of the Wolf. It reads like a well-earned reward to long-time readers of Richard Swan’s grimdark world, but will delight newcomers as well.

#TheScour by @richardswanauthor.bsky.social is a prequel novella in the author’s #EotW that made for an atmospheric & characteristically eerie yet amusing treat.
Perfect for spooky season & Vonvalt fans it works best if you’ve read the series but it’s a solid hook to get you to want more if not
