It's really well performed! I honestly can't even knock the kid, it's just tough to get legitimately terrifying performances out of people who can barely read. I'm sure that kid could act the crap out of a Fruit Gushers or Nickelodeon Gak commercial!

Weber deserses credit for doing Torrance in a creepy manner that's distinctly his own and differs greatly Nicholson's performance - which I'd imagine being difficult just because of its iconic status. It's like acting in 2010 after 2001: A Space Odyssey.
