Last night we watched #ThePigeonTunnel, #ErrolMorris’s amazing documentary of #JohnLeCarre’s life & work.

Reading #KemiAshingGiwa’s #TheSplinterInTheSky today made me realize the protagonist is an unwitting double agent, of sorts, and I hope it develops with the same complexity as Le Carre’s work.

The host, Duke Banurra, is an amateur archaeologist fond of hosting academics from the Imperial University of Opuroth. His interests include eugenics; transhumanism; and, according to Deora, leering at naked statues. Once a month he invites a number of distinguished professors to his apartments and pledges vast amounts of funding to the ones who affirm his beliefs.
