On #ThisDayInTravel 2020 we were talking a cruise in Halong Bay, Vietnam. Because of the recently discovered Covid pandemic the government had shut down all cruises but reopened a couple of days before ours. The seas were almost empty!

1/20/17 was a great day to be in the French dept of Guadeloupe (Les Saintes islands), hiking & having a seafood meal. Any day would be great there TBH but avoiding the inaug news was great.

On the 16th January 2021 we were in Sarande Albania still riding out Covid. It was a very peaceful place to be with beautiful beaches and water, but a bit boring for a 2 month stay.

On #ThisDayInTravel - January 15th last year we were underway on our Antarctic voyage!

Chinstrap penguin and chick - a very handsome bird and fluffy baby.

On #ThisDayInTravel January 11th - in 2020 we were in San Miguel de Allende Mexico exploring all the quirky art stores- this one totally captured my heart. If I had a house I would have bought it!

Not sure, if it was January the 10th, but it was January for sure, that we were on the beach in Miami. With temperatures, you can dream of in January in Germany.

On #ThisDayIntravel January the 10th - we were exploring Miami beach in 2022. We love the colourful lifesavers huts that go along the famous Miami Beach.

#ThisDayInTravel January 9th. On this day in 2017 we were in Texas and were amazed by the huge sculpture of a cattle drive with 70 longhorn steers being driven across a water crossing by 3 cowboys. Apparently it's the largest of its kind in the world.
