Before we get into Time Sginatures, we should briefly go over note values! Each note value is the following." It follows it up by showing the following below on the left side: A whole note (round oval). "Whole Note - 1/1" A half note (open oval with a stem pointing up). "Half Note - 1/2" A quarter note (filled black oval with a stem pointing up). "Quarter Note - 1/4" An eighth note (filled black oval with a stem pointing up and a flag coming out from the top). "Eighth Note - 1/8" The right side then states "When it comes to note values, they're pretty on the nose. Whole Note is a full note, Half Note is half the note, Quarter is a fourth of a note, and so on." Below the text is a small diagram saying "Explained With Loaf" with a picture of a whole loaf with the word "Whole", a loaf cut in half with the other half covered by a red X saying "Half", and a loaf cut in four with three of the pieces covered by a red X saying "Quarter". It then says "Each note gets divided by 2, which adds up to each other. Below is a table for how they are separated!" This next page starts with "Let's look at it in measure chunks. Here are three different quarter note time signatures. Notice the bottom number stays the same, and only the top number changes along with the amount inside the measure." Below that is a diagram of four loaf slices above a 4/4 measure with "4 quarter notes". I eat a slice, leaving three loaf slices above a 3/4 measure with "3 Quarter Notes". I enjoy another slice, leaving two loaf slices above a 2/4 measure with "2 Quarter Notes". Below, it explains "Each of these measures are still quarters of a whole note, but the measure will only allow a certain amount for each measure. Of course, the numbers can also go above the denominator." Below is a small pic of me baking a new loaf next to an oven. There are five loaf slices above a 5/4 measure saying "+1 Quarter Loaf", six loaf slices above a 6/4 measure saying "+2 Quarter Loaf", and 12 loaf slices above a 12/8 measure saying "+4 Eighth Loaf". Below that, I say "There's a lot more to time signatures than just this, but for those just wondering what the top and bottom notes are like, hope this helps you understand! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!" It ends with a picture of me giving a thumbs up and winking with the word "Stay loafin'!"

Adderall gets me so pumped, I answered someone's music theory question with a small presentation! There's more to time signatures than this, but this hopefully will help with at least knowing what the top and bottom numbers mean!
