While the race headed east & I headed west, I had the headwind as a disadvantage & I had to negotiate the outskirts of Bedford, then climb the 10% hill into Ampthill on the north side with a loaded bike and got there 10 mins after they did #TOBtour #TourofBritain #cycling
It was 65km from Cambridge to Ampthill so as I battled my way across almost Flandrien countryside with weather to match I stopped in Sandy at this wonderfully cafe that gave even this chocoholic an overload just looking at the selection of cakes #TOBtour #TourofBritain #cycling
Yesterday was another day of Dutch Hills and Welsh sunshine π¬π§π΄ββοΈ but albeit short, I slept better and had reasonably good legs. The main thing though despite the challenging conditions my spirits were high and that's what got me though #TOBtour #TourofBritain #cycling #bikepacking
