Number 1 on my #Top25Albums90s is Millennium by #BackstreetBoys. One of my favorite albums of all time. Bummed I haven’t seen them in Las Vegas.

4 singles. I Want It That Way is one of my favorite songs of all time. If you haven’t listened to The Perfect Fan, listen to it, & then hug your mother.

The 2nd CD I ever purchased is the 1st album on my #Top25Albums90s list. There are 6(!) US singles from #(What’sTheStory)MorningGlory by #Oasis (not including Acquiesce, a banger from the UK album), but every song is a gem. The album just works so well from beginning to end. Something for everyone!

Before unveiling the top of my #Top25Albums90s, I wanted to acknowledge some albums/bands that barely didn’t make the cut (and maybe should have). #Garbage #CollectiveSoul, #TheyMightBeGiants, #OurLadyPeace, #Radiohead, #Soundgarden, & #WeirdAlYankovic all put out quality in the 90’s, among others.

Number 2 on my #Top25Albums90s is Doggystyle #SnoopDoggyDogg. My favorite rap album ever. Peak Death Row Records right here.

3 singles, all great. Murder Was The Case was on this album. Gangsta took his own song, remixed it, turned it into a movie with a soundtrack. This dude is a G! The OG!

The runner up to the top spot of #Top25Albums90s goes to a band I didn’t ever hear of until the 2000’s., but have loved ever since. Every song on #Guster’s #LostAndGoneForever is a jam. “Happier” is a single for a reason, but “I Spy” & “Either Way” are the best songs on the album. Listen to it now!

Number 3 on my #Top25Albums90s is Significant Other by #LimpBizkit. The only vinyl record I ever bought. Had a Limp Bizkit sticker on my truck that I had for 22 years. And, yes, the sticker somehow never fell off.

4 singles. Just Like This is my fave on this one. Easily could’ve been # 1 on my list

The Bronze Medal of my #Top25Albums90s goes to the epic sounding #S&M by #Metallic and the #SanFranciscoSymphony. Sure, it’s kind of a greatest hits album, but all of it live and done in what was then a new way. Every song is amazing, and the mixing is off the charts. Great (pump up) music!

Number 4 on my #Top25Albums90s is Dookie by #GreenDay. One of my favorite bands of all time. I feel this album is probably my favorite by them as well. I’ll have to do some fun listening to confirm.

4 singles, all great, but this whole album is great. I can play this one, on repeat, start to finish

When your album inspires a musical, it must be pretty good. #AlanisMorissette’s #JaggedLittlePill did just that and comes in at number 4 on my #Top25Albums90s. Despite the “male bashing” complaints, this album has range and is good throughout. “Mary Jane” is a great song that was never a single…

I’m not into these big “favorite album” threads, but #top25albums90s is tempting.

Number 5 on my #Top25Albums90s is Bow Down by #WestsideConnection. I was pleasantly surprised by this 1 back in the 90s. I can listen to this entire album, on repeat. They only had 1 other album in 2003. Ice Cube has some bangers in his day, but never an album I cared for like this one. 2 singles.

Number 6 on my #Top25Albums90s is The Chronic by #Dr.Dre. The beginning of Death Row Records. I still remember trying to convince my pops to buy me this album at Sam Goody.

3 singles, all historic rap songs. In the top 5, if not top 3, rap albums of all time.

Number 6 of my #Top25Albums90s goes to an album and band I feel has been forgotten through the years. #Everclear’s #SoMuchForTheAfterglow is a great album that the singles just don’t do it justice. “Sunflowers” and “Why I don’t Believe in God” give this album a boost.

2 1 1 1

Number 7 on my #Top25Albums90s is Regulate… G Funk Era by #WarrenG. Regulate is one of the biggest hits of the 90s, and, honestly, it’s my 7th favorite song on the album.

3 singles. This D.J. & Do You See are my favorites. Recognize, So Many Ways, What’s Next, & And Ya Don’t Stop: chef’s kiss

When number 7 of my #Top25Albums90s was released, I didn’t want to listen to it as I thought it would be overrated…

… years later, I discovered I was wrong.

#YourselfOrSomeoneLikeYou is great from beginning to end. While “Push” gets the love, the entire album has bangers worth checking out!

2 1 1 1

Number 8 on my #Top25Albums90s is Follow the Leader by #Korn. One of my favorite albums from high school. Peak Korn in my opinion.

3 singles. Appearances by Fred Durst and Ice Cube. Children of the Korn featuring Ice Cube is my favorite non-single. All 3 singles from this one are absolute bangers.

Number 8 of my #Top25Albums90s is #Weezer’s first self titled record, collective known as the #BlueAlbum. Sure, some of the songs sound the same, but I love the lyrics of the music here. “In the Garage” always makes me smile and “Undone” is still my favorite Weezer song after all these years.

1 1 2 1

Number 9 on my #Top25Albums90s is Load by #Metallica. The first album I ever bought of Metallica, and it made me a fan for life.

4 singles. Ain’t My Bitch, favorite song on this album. Favorite Metallica song, No Leaf Clover.

Number 9 of my #Top25Albums90s is a little chill compared to others. The #CountingCrows#AugistAndEverythingAfter is an album you can listen to start to finish while reading a book and really enjoy both. I didn’t appreciate the albums in the 90’s, but that has changed.

3 1 2 1

Number 10 on my #Top25Albums90s is the #Sublime self titled album. I go through phases of listening to this album and enjoying different songs.

4 singles, all favorites. One of the bands that could’ve gone on to greatness if tragedy didn’t strike. They’re great regardless. RIP Brad Nowell

Number 10 of my #Top25Albums90s barely made the list, as #Eve6’s #Horrorscope was released LATE 1999 (might even be ‘00, but the first single was ‘99). This is a great album and a straight listen for me. “On the Roof Again” is aggressive, “Here’s to the Night” is sweet, and “Jet Pack” is in my head.

1 1 1 1

Number 11 on my #Top25Albums90s is the #BackstreetBoys self titled album.

This album released twice in the US. When Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) released, this album was rereleased. I traded in the original plus 2 additional albums to secure the rerelease. I even own the European version of this 1

Number 11 on my #Top25Albums90s might be surprised considering the #FooFighters are my fav band of all time. Don’t get me wrong, #TheColourAndTheShape is a great album, but the Foo have gotten so much better over time, this album doesn’t surpass today’s standards. Still, some awesomeness here.

1 1 1 1

Number 12 on my #Top25Albums90s is Turn the Radio Off by #ReelBigFish. This album reminds me of high school and a specific member of the crew Clint and I grew up with in The Tribe.

Only 1 single. It was a banger, and so is the whole damn album. I didn’t go head first into Ska, but this one’s legit.

1 0 1 1

The band responsible for number 12 on my #Top25Albums90s is the most recent I’ve seen live. #IxnayOnTheHombre by #TheOffspring was excellent follow up to #Smash (another great 90’s album). “All I Want” was worth the hype, “Gone Away” still hits, but songs like “Cool to Hate” make the album.

1 1 1 1

Number 13 on my #Top25Albums90s is the #MurderWasTheCase soundtrack. I don’t remember the movie. Honestly, as a kid, I didn’t think there was a movie, lol

5 singles. I had no clue 5 songs released off this one! This was a who’s who for Death Row Records at the time.

The artist that made the number 13 album of my #Top25Albums90s is most known for the King of the Hill theme song, and that’s a pity. #FizzyFuzzyBig&Buzzy is a great album and the #Refreshments were fantastic. “Bandits” and “Down Together” are fun, but “Mekong” steal the top song here. Give it a try!

1 1 1 1

Number 14 on my #Top25Albums90s is Evil Empire by #RageAgainstTheMachine. Multiple albums were released in the 90s, this is just the album I enjoy the most. If this was purely an artist list, they’d be higher.

2 US singles/3 EU singles. Down Rodeo is my favorite non-released song from this album.

1 0 1 1

The first CD I ever purchased is number 14 on my #Top25Albums90s. #BluesTraveler’s #Four is still a great album. The singles still hit, but “Stand,” “Look Around” and “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly” deserve some love… but “Just Wait” will always have a hold of my heart… #Harmonica

2 1 1 1

Number 15 on my #Top25Albums90s is Sixteen Stone by #Bush. Clint & I now have 1 album in the same spot, one artist in the same spot w/different albums, & 1 album off by one spot. Other than that, completely different lists.

5 singles. The Chemicals Between Us is my fave Bush song, not on this album
