Emma reached the end of the alley she had been walking down and turned to face the men that had been tailing her for the last few blocks. Three of them, wearing the distinctive red & silver tracksuits of one of New York's most well known gangs and red ski masks. "Can I help you with something, boys?" She asked, somewhat feigning innocence with her tone. The one in the center, presumably their leader spoke up. "Well Lady, we was gonna have you show the goods, but since it turns out you're one of those X-freaks, how about you just get ready to lay down and take it!" He said with a sneer as he first leered at her body and then raised his crow bar while giving a look of contempt to her face. She tried very hard not to roll her eyes, succeeding only in covering it with a blink, this was not the first and certainly not the last group of racists she'd have to deal with while just trying to go about official X-Men business. "Now now gentlemen, I don't think you're ready for what I'm prepared to throw at you if you intend to use those weapons. Besides, is that any way to talk to a woman?" She said while putting just a hint of the tone she used with some of her less easy to instruct students. At this, the one on her right spoke up. "You ain't no woman, you mutie bitch. You're just another piece of crap that's oughta die!" He said, yelling loud enough that people would probably have heard him out on the main street.
She put her hand to her face, a motion she knew would be interpreted as another demeaning symbol of superiority by her assailants but was actually a technique she sometimes used to gather psychic energy for an attack. "Very well then, enjoy the worst migraines of your miserable lives!" She said as she flicked her hand forward while extending her arm straight out, sending with it a wave mental power then caused the men to drop their weapons and begin clutching at the tops of their heads.
"Eiiii!" "Wha-?!" "My Head, My f*cking Hea-!" They each cried simultaneously before collapsing to the ground.
Emma stepped over the one that had been in front of her and began heading back out towards the street as she murmured to herself "At least this time I can tell Scott I warned them..."
