Installed this #TrafficGarden in a different neighborhood this year. In two weeks it was used by many kids, and neighbors gathered to chat while watching the kids play. Place for kids to play and develop. Unfortunately the HOA decided it could not stay and had to be removed. #Motonormativity?

Installed this #TrafficGarden in 2020 during pandemic so kids could have a place to play, be active, develop mobility skills and traffic safety awareness. It was in there for 9 months after my neighbors asked me to leave it place. They liked seeing kids play and talking to neighbors. #Community

Yes, but Roanoke has an awesome #trafficgarden for kids bike education, understanding of the built environment, and development of traffic safety awareness, DC has quite a number of traffic gardens, and Richmond has no traffic gardens, but this could change soon.
Yellow Springs, OH schools also teach K-1 students how to bike using the Striders 'All Kids Bike/ program, and the PE teacher at Mills Lawn ES is the lead for a #BikeBus ride to school each week, with kids, parents, and community members, using five different routes. Maybe a #TrafficGarden soon?
