This small AU is set after Rimuru saved Shizu’s students from their future deaths by fusing the sprites with them but there was one spirit that shocked everyone when it entered Chloe Aubert and it was a sprite that resembles shizu (?) and after everything that just happened Cindy felt like she was interfering with rimuru’s life and quite possibly his future love life as well as after heading back to the school to say their goodbyes, cindy just stood quiet until they hop onto Ranga’s back to travel back home to tempest but shortly on the way there cindy told ranga to stop and wanted to speak with rimuru alone. sensing something was wrong but didn’t pry ranga went back into rimuru’s shadow so that they can speak in private, rimuru asked what was wrong when cindy said that maybe she should leave..for good and take Rimuka with her, rimuru being shocked what cindy was talking about tries to convince her that she’s not a burden to him or anyone and that he loves her and their son, but cindy cuts him off while crying in tears that he shouldn’t love her and their son that they both created and instead should’ve loved his soulmate shizu instead. while rimuru tries to remind cindy that shizu was dead and that his time with her was short lived, he then felt a threatening presence coming towards them and they both dodged the oncoming attack. coming out from behind a tree was the captain of the holy knights, Hinata Sakaguchi who aims her signature weapon, Rainbow sword at rimuru but since hearing their conversation she then turns her target at cindy as she was emotionally unstable and vulnerable so she attacks her first, cindy blocks the attack but barely as she kicks her with her foot claws but hinata jumps back only to slash her again. (part 2 of the AU story) Rimuru then quickly went to her side telling her if she was alright but Cindy told him off that she was fine but barely standing, rimuru knows that she wasn’t fine, not after being slashed by hinata but he has some healing potions just in case she needs it. the fight against hinata was growing more intense and more desperate, not after finding out that tempest was invaded by the holy knights army and everyone being in danger so they have to end this fight quickly before things escalate but unfortunately the battle with hinata was a lost cost as even tho it was two against one she was much too strong to beat and in the end she unleashed her special attack: Death end rainbow at rimuru to finish him off but before that could happen cindy jumped in front of her attack to take the full blow of it as she let out a horrifying scream in pain. while hinata used up mostly her energy in that attack while jumping back she wasn’t done yet as she was now charging up another devastating attack, rimuru looked down at cindy while cradling her in his arms while screaming her name while crying, he then reached out into his coat pocket to pull out a potion to pour all over cindy but it didn’t work and thus he began to panic, asking great sage to do something to save her but unfortunately cindy was bleeding out as her body was slowly turning cold, she reached out her paw and held it against his cheek while saying the words “I love you” before kissing him goodbye as her paw then falls down to the ground void less of life. rimuru tries to shake her awake but she was dead, the first love of his life in 35 years since he was a human before being reincarnated here and the child that they both brought into the world together was gone…cindy was gone and he had never felt so hopeless and..anger before as he looked at hinata with anger in his eyes “you will pay for this hinata, you and your comrades will feel my wrath”

In this “what if” AU Cindy had a horrifying encounter with Zero, causing her to bleeding out from her body as she’d passed out unconscious. meanwhile Sigma was investigating the rusted down laboratory in search of the missing reploids that had gone missing, only to find out that the missing reploids were all dead by the hands of zero. willing to put a stop to the madness sigma fought zero in an intense battle and won but his right arm was damaged during the scuffle and as he drags zero (who was unconscious) towards his troops he then noticed small scraps of fur and blood on the floor which lead to cindy who was unconscious behind the tall gas containers. he then yelled at his troops to get a stretcher for both the red reploid and cat girl as he hands the red reploid over to them before gently carrying the cat girl in his left working arm while they all head back to HQ hoping that the doctors will save this cat girl from bleeding to death.
