What I have learned about buses in ACT... The #TransitApp doesn't know there's a bus lane to get around traffic and the onboard time estimates are maybe based on "crow flies" GNSS coordinates (not sure how else to interpret 6 minutes -> 1 -> 5....).

So the #TransitApp has a question about whether there's shelter at a bus stop, but no option for "no, but in a few years if they replant the dead trees behind the bus stop, there might be a little bit of shade." #transit #publicTransit #bus #urbanism
Something I’ve been QUITE impressed with during #SXSW in Austin is how good the #TransitApp estimates have been. Even with traffic! Really awesome and I’ve been able to take CapMetro very reliably. (much better than I remember!)

Last night the #TransitApp was not working properly from the North Hollywood Metro Station. It displayed that both local buses that could have worked for me showing up hours later.

For me personally, the new Rapids may reduce my own downtown travel time by bus from ~50min to ~30min. If you live northeast/central/southeast, try it out for yourself in the #TransitApp!
