An oak tree grows at the edge of a green meadow, bordered by other large oaks and smaller birches. It has leaned over a fence, so that its trunks grow parallel to the meadow and its crown reaches classically towards the bright blue and white sky.

This is one of my favourite #trees; a huge #oaktree that isn't impressed by #gravity.

Layers of color in the clouds along this morning's eastern horizon.

This stately Ponderosa Pine marks the entrance to a favorite valley on Aspen Peak, covered in Ponderosas and full of Elk and Deer...not pictured.

One of those deep-in-the-woods shots, with the pines above all backlit in Arizona sunshine. The enormous boulders offer shade and rock climbing.

Catching a Western Bluebird in the wild (not a feeder-birb) is always a challenge, and today I got one with the typical bluebird attitude and super-intense backlighting in this afternoon's sun. Zen birding!
