later on you get this games version of the Magatama in AA, the Veritylance longinus, a funny lie detector device in which you have to expose someone's lie using evidence and such.

While talking Voice Actiong... the game is mostly un-voiced but several key scenes, climactic scene or character introductions are fully voice-acted, next to the obvious "Objection!", "Hold It!" etc. #trialsOfInnocence

In addition, there is confrontations, in which you have to refute statements made by the Prosecutor. Those test your general understanding of the case under time pressure as the game DOES NOT pause while checking your evidence.

Quickly talking about gameplay, Testimonies and Cross-Examinations work the same as in AA but with a change I want to see implemented in modern AA games.

Case 4 is incredible. The twists to this one are incredibly heavy and shocking and I can not describe what the finale to this case made me feel.
Case 5 is also incredible, closing of the story in a fantastic final act of pure tension, where the twists just keep coming.... #TrialsOfInnocence

Reviewing the individual cases:
Case 1 is good, but maybe a bit convoluted for a Tutorial case,
Case 2 is great introducing several story threads and key characters with a both tragic but heartwarming story.
Case 3 is good, similar in tragedy to case 2 but not as good, imo. #TrialsOfInnocence

The small team of devs are doing their best to properly localize this game but as it stands, you will encounter lots of typos and a few stiff looking sentences in the current version. I do not think this overall detracts from the experience too much though. #TrialsOfInnocence

I have nothing but praise for the story. While each case tells a great story on it's own, the overarching story is hard not to get invested into.
It concludes with the incredible case 5 and how it ties all those story threads together at the finale.

The cast of characters is really damn good. In true AA fashion, everybody is a bit of a weirdo in a way, but what stands out is really that with the xception of maybe 2 characters, NO CHARACTER FEELS FLAT.

The story itself is separated into 5 cases, which are mainly played from the Point Of View of the rookie Luna Ray or her chief, Charlie Drake.
Accompanying this is an overarching story about a terrorist organisation that has deeply affected these two. #TrialsOfInnocence

The gameplay is pretty simple, you are a defense lawyer and have to show off your lawyer's license at every possible opportunity.
Inbetween you also do your best to solve murdercase of a wrongly framed defendant, using evidence to point out contradictions in testimonies, etc. #TrialsOfInnocence

An overall incredible Ace Attorney like game, that is slightly held back by it's unfortunate localization situation.
