In addition to the big thread above, this past month I gave a talk about insect-borne diseases to incarcerated learners as part of the @celltocellscot.bsky.social initiative & during my 4th year teaching on the Diploma in #TropicalMedicine & Hygiene, we had a #trichuris egg hatch during the class!
In the #STH work, prevalence data were collected at the school level. For each school, we had the number of children tested, the number infected with each STH species (#Ascaris, #Trichuris, and #hookworm), and the geo-location of the school.
