Trimingham’s St John the Baptist’s Head Church. In the Middle Ages it housed an alabaster carving of the saint’s severed head, linked to the famous relic at Amiens & pilgrims came here to venerate it. It was lost at the Reformation but the name endured. #Trimingham #footage

🙏🏻 Today Friday, 29 August the church commemorates The Beheading of St John the Baptist.
