A note on #Melissa...
It was the strongest (185 mph), deadliest (102 deaths), and costliest ($10 billion USD in estimates as of now) hurricane of the year.
Come next year, when new names are released for 2026, the name #Melissa will be retired for good.

Day 182: Nothing.
Its over. Its finally over. After 182 days (like every year), the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season comes to a close in less than an hour.
We do this all over again in June. Good riddance!
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 181: Nothing.
Its almost here. Tomorrow is the last official day of the season. It was nothing yesterday, nothing today, and it will be nothing tomorrow to wrap it all up.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 180: Nothing.
We are almost there. The last official day of the season is on Sunday.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 179: Nothing.
We are thankful for nothing in the tropics this Thanksgiving as we're just days away from the official end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 177: Nothing.
The season ends this week. Its so close... but still feels so far away.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 175: Nothing.
The last day of the hurricane season is one week from today. Yet, it has been this way for weeks, and it will remain that way until the end of the season officially.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 174: Nothing.
Its been this way for the past couple of weeks now. Why change now if we're enjoying the final month of the season with no activity!
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
We have a new record.
This season, #Melissa set a new record. It delivered THE STRONGEST windspeed ever recorded... 252 MPH!!!

Day 171: Nothing.
I mean, it will remain this way for a while. The season is "unofficially" over.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 169: Nothing.
The season is almost over. We can taste it, but we're not quite there yet.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 168: Nothing.
Despite not posting the past few days, its been the same. Nothing in the tropics as the season is "unofficially" shut down.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 165: Nothing.
Almost halfway through the last month... still nothing. It'll stay this way for the rest of the month, meaning the season will end with November brewing up nothing at all.
Just the way we like it.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 163: Nothing.
Still status quo.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 162: Nothing.
It was nothing yesterday, nothing again today.
We like this, and it makes the holidays that much more holly and jolly, knowing that nothing is out there as the season continues its slow but sure closure.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 160: Nothing.
We have 22 days left in the hurricane season.
You'll probably see the same image over the next three weeks. We're so close to putting a bow on the hurricane season, and with no U.S. landfall this year, we're grateful for a break.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 159: Nothing.
I'll still be posting every single day, even if nothing forms. I love seeing this every day of the week, and it will continue.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 158: Nothing.
This will quickly become like a broken record. But honestly, I like this broken record.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 157: Nothing.
Ahh... basking in happiness. Let's keep it going.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
As I've said before, the season is "unofficially" over, but looking at this outlook released today by @noaa.gov's CPC, they seem to agree.
Nothing is expected, and we like that!
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 156: Nothing.
Let's keep it going. Nothing to track, nothing to watch, and nothing is a good thing for the upcoming end of the season.
26 days left until the end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 155: Nothing.
Unofficially, I think we're done.
Officially, the season runs until November 30th.
While the season has a month left, there seems to be nothing that could form anytime soon. Let's hope it stays that way at the end of the month as well.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 153: Nothing.
Let's keep this going. Nothing is in development anytime soon, nothing to expect, and with a month left, we hope it stays this way.

Day 151: ACTIVE
Throughout the day, #Melissa has hit Eastern Cuba, and then hit the Eastern Bahamas as its next target. Now, thankfully, its entering the ocean and is moving more rapidly.
Also, thankfully, its way far east from Florida and the U.S.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
Day 150: ACTIVE
#Melissa DID NOT PLAY TODAY. It struck #Jamaica as a POWERFUL Category 5. It has exited the island, and Eastern Cuba is next.
Its currently at 125 mph but will strengthen to 140 mph before landfall early tomorrow morning in Eastern Cuba.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
GOOD LORD. Please pray for the folks in Jamaica. #Melissa means SERIOUS BUSINESS.
#TropicalUpdate #FLwx
