As an outsider seeing Americans blindsided by the reality of their situation is something else. People saying they can’t protest because their healthcare is tied to their job, kindergarteners are racking up debt because they eat lunch, they even convinced their citizens it’s normal for a family to lose everything because a child got cancer. It’s dystopian. The whole system. None of what’s currently going on could happen in a healthy democracy.

I hate when articles try to dilute or downplay how bad things are right now under this administration. They try to make it sound as if it’s always been this way.
