OTD last year: a daytime raccoon 🦝, which served as our #TuftsMCM 2025 calendar photo for this month.

The name 'raccoon' comes from the indigenous Algonquin/Powhatan word 'arahkunem,' which means 'one who scratches with hands.' ✋

Great commencement wkd & chance to celebrate #TuftsMCM class of '24 (NOT '25) who finished their MS last Aug & made the extra effort to come back this wkd. We also had 2 MCM grads in the '25 Tufts DVM class, as well as other DVMs at NCSU, Western, LIU, UCD, UMN, Calgary & The OSU. #conservation
