Hello from #Toronto 🇨🇦 Union Station: an early morning departure on #VIArail train #60 for #Montréal today. According to my 1970s timetable booklet, a high-speed #Turbotrain worked #60, the eastbound “Corridor” morning service, back then. Travelling times of the “Turbos” remain unmatched until today.

May 2002 at #Bordeaux 🇫🇷: an #SNCF #RTG #Turbotrain awaits departure from the outermost platform. I could imagine they weren’t allowed under the station roof: their helicopter-type gas turbines developed an incredible (not to say deafening) sound when gearing up.
