Ok but like what about an AU where the Krew ends up keeping all the orphan children? Like maybe they're able to get them to a secure location while they finish their adventure, probably with Lamorna in the Wayward Pool. Then when they finally rescue Zybilna and reunite her with the King of Hearts they are granted their wishes but also given consequences. Basically Zybilna is like: "Yeah, thanks for saving me and my relm but like also you all unnecessarily fucked up a lot of things because of your greed and stupidity. So, I'll bring Twig back and granted you all your wishes but you're taking the orphans and you BETTER take care of them."
So after the Krew's wishes get granted they plus Twig are kicked out of Prismeer and dumped in front of Madryck Roslof's house. They get the reward money, Roslof is able to die in peace, they pay off their debt to Mr. Garou, then they return back to Roslof's house, now their house, to finally rest. Except they can't because there are suddenly 25 orphan children running around the house that weren't there when they left. The only type of clue they had as to where these children came from is a letter pinned to the door that said: "One of the few things you did right was saving these children. Now it's your responsibility to care for them as well. Good luck. -Zybilna" So now the Krew is stuck with 25 orphans and no idea how to take care of them.
First things first, getting everyone something to eat. Kremy couldn't think of anything else at the moment but the one thing he did know was that down on their luck people would never turn down a good meal. At least that's what his Memaw always said. Next, as the children ate, the Krew gathered in the kitchen to plan out their next move. Child labor was out of the question, because Kremy may be a dishonest, scumbag, conman but he wasn't a fucking monster. They decided to go with Frost's idea, care for the children until they could find good homes for each of them. Zybilna only said they had to take care of them, not keep them forever. The children, meanwhile, had no memory of their time in Prismeer. All they did know was that they were unwanted by their parents so they were given away and sent to be taken care of by Mr. Kremy and his Krew. They don't really have strong opinions of the Krew at the moment but considering that Mr. Kremy fed them, they can at least trust them a little.
Gideon with Frost's help is able to mend some children size pajamas out of Roslof's extensive wardrobe. While Kremy and Twig are able to manipulate the magic of Roslof's house to extend and create a few dormitories for the children to sleep in, as well as extra bathrooms. Gricko, Hootsie, and Torbek are able to pass out towels, toothbrushs, and soap while lining up the children for bath time. By the time they're able to get all the children to sleep the Krew is exhausted and collapse into a heaping pile of limbs on the couch. If this was just a single afternoon dealing with 25 kids then they needed to find homes for them as quickly as possible. Obviously, shenanigans and found family feels shit happens and I may actually need to write this into an entire fic 🤔
I really just want the Krew to be bamboozled into a found family situation with against their will 🤣
