#twolightsfortomorrow On April 18, 1775, Robert Newman, the sexton of Old North Church in Boston hung two lanterns in the church's steeple to warn patriots that British troops were heading to Lexington & Concord. Thus began the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, Samuel Prescott and William Dawes
250 years ago, Paul Revere’s two lanterns sparked freedom.
Revere was a silversmith, a profession somewhat less respectable than farming. Nevertheless, he made history.
Today, we honor that legacy with these lanterns from our @USDA HQ.🇺🇸🕯️
