In her tattered cotton & chiffon dress, disheveled appearance she sits riverside with her feet in the water. Her one visible hand is resting on the gravel with only her fingertips in this same water. She appears dazed. Her hair is pulled up & messy. Her profiled head is tipped downward as she gazes into the water. Her eye makeup is smudged and dark. A mountainside and its deciduous trees are both near & far in the background. This is a high contrast, monochromatic grayscale (bnw) rendition of a scene designed to give the viewer pause & thought, as it appears to tell part of a story; her story.
The same scenario as in the initial composition, but from above. We are looking at the darkened backside of her head & pulled up hair. She's still gazing into the riverside water, pooled about her feet. We are looking over her slumped shoulders within the holes of her tattered, white cotton dress. The dress is also partially of chiffon & it's wet around & over her legs, knees & thighs. The sun is very brightly reflected in the pooled river water just above her feet & legs, off to the right side of of her bowed head. Again, we are in black and white, a grayscale composition but with an entirely different point of view/perspective of looking downward over the subject & the pooled river water. Again, a tale is implied but we wanted it, our scenes to hold any number of possibilities.
