It's moving forward at a much slower speed than initially expected, so today was only a little windy and hardly any rain. In hindsight, it shouldn't have been a day off, and I think local gov'ts are going to catch flack for that.

But this typhoon will be different. Most typhoons hit Taiwan full on from the east, and the mountains blunt their force by the time they reach the west. This one is coming up from the south and seems likely to sneak around the mountains from the get-go.
