A large group of runners waiting to start Park Run at Towneley Park in Burnley. A long straight path stretches into the distance in front of them. I am at the back of the group, a familiar race position for me.
An aerial view of the Park Run course at Towneley Park. The shape is like a wonky angular figure of eight. Each lap is 2.5k long so runners go round the course twice to complete the race.
Husband and son enjoying a well earned rest at the cafe after the run. They are sat at the table smiling at each other. My son has a cup of sparkling berry juice which was quite expensive and apparently not even fizzy.
Post-run selfie. I have just finished the race, I do not want to discuss family finishing times that’s not what this is about. 🤪 I don’t notice my husband has photobombed until later. At least I got a shot of us all! 💕
Family Park Run in Burnley this morning. I always feel quite proud afterwards, like I’ve accomplished something good. Also in awe of all the impressively fast runners and secretly wish I was one of them. 😄🙏
